Traffic Delays on Feather River Boulevard

Construction crews are hard at work on improvements to 13 miles of levees along the Feather River. Trucks hauling soil – about one every 30 seconds – will be crossing Feather River Boulevard, just south of Country Club Road and between Murphy Road and Ella Avenue. Area residents should be on the lookout for trucks and flaggers and expect traffic delays of up to 15 minutes. The use of detours is recommended.

When Will Traffic Controls Be In Place?

6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning August 17 and ending November 1, 2009.

How Long Can I Expect to Be Delayed?
Vehicles will be stopped by flaggers for no more than 15 minutes at each location. Please use a detour or allow for extra time to reach your destination.

How Can I Avoid the Traffic Controls and Delays?
Traffic signage will be clearly posted on either end of Feather River Boulevard, Algodon Road, Broadway Road, Grand Avenue and Ella Avenue.

Suggested detours include [see map]:
